1. How to raise a correction or complaint

If you think something on this site is wrong, write to corrections@lawyerreviews.com.au. Include the URL, the specific text or claim, and the correction or evidence you'd like considered. We acknowledge within one business day and resolve within five business days for straightforward corrections, or within fifteen business days where the matter is complex.

2. What counts as a correction

We log and publish a correction where any of the following is found:

• A factual error in editorial content (date, name, citation, statute reference, court).
• An out-of-date claim that materially misleads a reader.
• A misattribution of authorship, reviewer credit, or source.
• A mathematical or data error in a ranking, weighting, or statistic.

For minor typographical fixes that do not change meaning, we correct silently. Anything else is dated on the page itself and added to the public correction log below.

3. Disputes about a lawyer profile

If you are a lawyer and you believe a profile, ranking, or review of you contains an inaccuracy or breaches our review policy, write to reviews@lawyerreviews.com.au with the specific element and the basis of your concern. Our dispute SLA is 48 hours to first response and seven business days to resolution. The dispute outcome is logged here whether or not the change is made.

4. Defamation, contempt, suppression orders

Material that may attract defamation liability, contempt of court, or breach of a suppression order is escalated to counsel immediately on flagging and withheld pending review. We act within hours, not days, on credible material of this kind. Send urgent notices to legal@lawyerreviews.com.au.

5. Privacy and personal information

If you believe a page contains your personal information that you wish to have removed, or that you did not consent to publication of, write to privacy@lawyerreviews.com.au. We process Privacy Act 1988 access and correction requests under the timelines set in that Act.

6. Escalation

If you are unsatisfied with our response, you may escalate to the Editor-in-Chief at the same address. Once the Editor-in-Chief role is filled, this page will name the holder. External escalation pathways — the Press Council, the relevant Legal Services Commissioner, or OAIC for privacy matters — remain available to you at any time.

7. Public correction log

The correction log is updated on the day of each correction. Below the line, the most recent entries are listed first. No corrections have been logged yet — this publication began publishing on the date this policy was first dated.
