Lawyer Reviews Australia (the "Service") is an independent directory and publication of admitted Australian lawyers, operated by Lawyer Reviews Australia Pty Ltd (ABN pending). The Service is not a law firm. The Service does not provide legal advice. Using the Service does not create a lawyer-client relationship between you and us.
By accessing or using the Service you accept these Terms. If you do not accept them, do not use the Service.
Content on the Service is general information about Australian legal services. It is not a substitute for advice from an admitted Australian lawyer who understands your specific matter. Do not rely on content on the Service in place of professional advice.
When you submit an enquiry through the get-matched flow, we share your contact details and matter description with up to three verified lawyers we believe are appropriate matches. Those lawyers will contact you directly. We do not represent you. We are not a party to any engagement that follows. Any costs agreement is between you and the lawyer you engage; under the Legal Profession Uniform Law your lawyer must give you a written costs disclosure before acting.
You may publish a review of a lawyer or firm you have engaged, subject to our review policy. By submitting a review you grant us a perpetual, royalty-free licence to publish that review on the Service. You retain ownership of your review and may withdraw it within 30 days of publication.
Rankings are produced under our published methodology and are editorial. They are not predictions of legal outcome and are not recommendations. We do not warrant that any lawyer listed in a ranking will achieve any particular result for you.
Some placements on the Service are paid. These are labelled Sponsored on the card. Editorial /best/ rankings are not for sale at any price.
If you are a lawyer using the Service to receive matched enquiries, accept Featured placement, or purchase the Practice Performance Audit, additional commercial terms apply at the point of purchase. Those terms govern the commercial relationship and override these general Terms where they conflict.

All content on the Service, other than user-submitted reviews and content lawyers post to their own profiles, is owned by or licensed to Lawyer Reviews Australia Pty Ltd. You may quote short extracts for non-commercial purposes with attribution. You may not republish substantial portions of editorial content without permission.
To the extent permitted by law, the Service is provided "as is". We do not warrant that the Service is uninterrupted, error-free, or fit for any particular purpose. Our liability for any loss arising from your use of the Service is limited to the amount you have paid us (if any) in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.
We may suspend or terminate access to the Service at our discretion, with or without notice, where there is evidence of breach of these Terms or risk to the Service or its users. Surviving provisions include any liability accrued before termination.
These Terms are governed by the law of New South Wales, Australia. The courts of New South Wales have non-exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute.
We may change these Terms from time to time. The current version is the version dated at the top of this page.
