What claiming does

Most profiles on this site carry a name taken from a public list of practitioners and nothing else. Where that is the case, the profile says so.

If you claim your profile, an editor confirms you are the practitioner named, and then publishes what you supply as supplied by the practitioner. It is labelled that way on the page, and recorded separately from anything we checked against a public register.

What claiming does not do

• It does not move you up any list. Ranking is described in the methodology and is not for sale.
• It does not make your profile “verified”. Verification means we opened your register entry and recorded what it said. That is a separate thing, and we say which one applies.
• It does not cost anything, and it is not a listing package. Paid placement is disclosed wherever it appears.
