Carly Boekee is special counsel at Taussig Cherrie Fildes and an Accredited Family Law Specialist since 2023. She has practised only family law since her admission in 2013 and joined the firm in 2014, after two years as a legal associate at the Family Court of Australia to Justice Bennett and former Justices Macmillan and Thornton.
She acts in complex financial matters, including high-net-worth property disputes, and in high-conflict parenting matters, many involving serious allegations of risk or family violence. She is also a careful drafter and adviser on parenting orders, property orders, financial agreements and child support agreements, and she resolves many matters by agreement, including at mediation.
Doyle's Guide has named her a Family Law Rising Star in Victoria every year from 2021 to 2026. She was a family law finalist in Lawyers Weekly's 30 Under 30 Awards in 2018, and the firm reports her recognition in The Best Lawyers in Australia 2026. Her firm describes a conscientious and pragmatic lawyer whose compassionate, accurate advice achieves excellent outcomes. She holds a Juris Doctor and an arts degree from the University of Melbourne and has co-authored family law papers with Paul Fildes.

Taussig Cherrie Fildes is a specialist family law firm on Lonsdale Street in the Melbourne CBD, founded in 2000 by Debra Cherrie and the late Michael Taussig QC. In its 2026 edition Doyle’s Guide ranks the firm First Tier, its highest firm tier, in both its national list of family and divorce law firms (one of six firms) and its Melbourne list (one of five). It is the only firm in both first tiers that practises family law alone. Both named principals, Debra Cherrie and Paul Fildes, are ranked Preeminent in Melbourne.
