Kristy Fuge is a principal of Taussig Cherrie Fildes and an Accredited Family Law Specialist. She was admitted in 2006 after working as an articled clerk in family law, practised at specialist family law firms in Brisbane and Melbourne, and joined the firm in 2016. She became special counsel in 2019 and a principal in 2020.
Her work is at the complex end of family law: high net-worth property disputes involving corporate and trust structures and third-party interests, financial agreements, and difficult parenting matters, including allegations of abuse, domestic and international relocations and recovery orders. Her firm says she was recently instructed in the High Court to successfully defend an appeal, and describes her as a skilled negotiator who is highly experienced in court and at mediation.
Doyle's Guide ranks her Leading for parenting and children's matters in Victoria in 2026, a list she has been in every year since 2021, and Recommended in its Melbourne family and divorce list. She sits on the Executive, Courts Practice and Maintenance and Property committees of the Law Institute of Victoria's Family Law Section, is a qualified Regulation 67B arbitrator, and mentors the firm's junior lawyers.
